Interested in renting a studio at the NEST?

The NEST Arts Factory supports immersive studio practice and a wealth of professional development opportunities to provide an experience that embodies artistic excellence, civic engagement, and creative entrepreneurship

Applications are currently being accepted for studios at the new NEST location, under renovation in the south end of Bridgeport just below downtown. Studios will be available in fall 2020. Please fill out this application if you are interested.

NOTE: All applicants must be interviewed and approved by the NEST Artist Selection Committee.


NEST amenities will include: 

  • Building-wide WiFi

  • 6 large, conveniently-located clean-up sinks

  • Community kitchenettes with fridge, microwave, and toaster oven

  • Freight elevator

  • Community activities including a weekly creative lunch, 4 open studios events a year, participation in the NEST artist association, and more

  • 24-hour security camera monitoring, secure building, on site manager

  • Fully accessible design

  • Exhibiting and performing opportunities

  • Professional networking and development

  • 1250 sq ft common space available to rent for holding workshops

  • Artist profile listing on NEST website

Studios feature:

  • Sizes ranging from 100-1400 square feet

  • Individually metered energy-efficient gas heat and electric utilities

  • 11' and 18' high ceilings 

  • Large new energy-efficient windows

  • Architectural character

  • Natural solid wood floors (a few with concrete floors)

  • Exterior studio walls with track lights for displaying art work

NEST Arts Factory is a commercial art studio and gallery complex in Bridgeport CT. We provide private working studios for fine artists with a professional arts practice.

The NEST is a regionally recognized organization committed to supporting and enabling artists at all stages of their career to develop new work by proving studio space.

We are looking for artists! If you are a person who works in or is skilled in any of the fine arts, including but not limited to, painting, drawing, sculpture, book arts, printmaking, mixed media, film, photography, video, and digital arts, or a person who creates functional art, including but not limited to, metal, textiles, paper, wood, ceramic, and glass objects, you should apply!
